Damien had a fair amount of skepticism about following Cassandra’s father when he stood up and told him to do so. Both of them didn’t like each other, and that was not a secret they bothered hiding. Even though they were both indispensable figures in Cassandra’s life, their dislike for each other was almost written in stone, more deeply than Damien could even imagine. If he knew just how much he was never supposed to get along with the man he was following, he wouldn’t even be breathing the same air as him.
But he didn’t, so he continued to follow Sylvester with only Cassandra on his mind. However, he couldn’t help but notice how everybody was looking at him whenever he passed a place that had Sylvester’s people inside.
