He couldn’t make sense of it, so he ended up following her throughout all of her classes. For the rest of the day, nothing really happened. The teacher called on Cassandra and asked a complex question that left her staring in his direction for the longest time. Her legs started shaking.

The teacher, in a bad mood, kept pressing her for an answer. Damien wanted to get the teacher to leave her alone, but since he wasn’t in the class, he knew it would immediately make him stand out as the odd one.

“Miss Torres, I don’t know why you are wasting everybody’s time and mine as well. The question that I just asked you is very simple, so I need an answer…”

It was obvious that the teacher was having a bad day, and he was bent on taking it out on Cassandra with the question. At this point, he could have easily made her sit down and asked somebody else, but he insisted on making sure that she was the one who answered the question, even though it made little-to-no difference if
