Chapter 47
Cassandra was carefully watching Damien as they explored the study, waiting for the party that was bubbling outside to subside.
After the full video was released, she could not bring herself to go back to school and just faked being sick.
Strangely enough, her father did not question the lie. It surprised her greatly, but it was a relief on her side that all he did was simply roll his eyes at her when she said she was sick and let it be, allowing her to rest for several days. However, she knew that eventually, he would force her to go back to school. She was just waiting until he reached his limit.
