Chapter 50
Damien was not looking for a fight; he had only gone outside to clear his mind from everything happening in his family. It was all spinning around in his head, and he needed something to make sense in his life; his encounter with the gangsters was completely unexpected.
“I told you guys I didn’t want to fight, and I mean it. Trust me, you don’t want to get on my nerves tonight…” he warned them again.
Just like before, all of them started laughing, as if he had told them the funniest joke they had ever heard in their entire lives. He tried to break out of the circle they had formed around him, but somebody pushed him back until his feet stumbled, causing him to lose his balance and fall onto the cemented sidewalk, colliding with a trash can.
