 "So, now that you two have made amends, are you getting married soon?" Maya asked, curiosity getting the better of her.

Hazel's expression turned stern. "Oh, come on! Noah still hasn't felt the mate bond, and my priority right now is seeking justice for what my sister and ex-husband did to me. I want to make my parents regret disowning me."

Maya's eyes widened, taken aback by Hazel's intensity. "I understand, but don't you think it's time to let go of the past and move forward? You and Noah seem meant to be."
