Chapter 28. Liquor for Money

Sushmita’s POV

After a week, we leave the country again for Las Vegas. It’s my first time there and I must admit, the place is so alive and wonderful. Rodney explained to me everything, that he will chase down a notorious d*** lord so I must be with Daniel for a while.

“Do you want something, Miss?” Daniel asked.

“Uhm, can we order some red wine?” I suggested it because we were in a Casino.

“Yeah sure, whatever you want,” he said and he went directly to the bar counter and ordered some red wine while I stared at Rodney.

He was with his target now making a good talk while me and Daniel were sitting on the counter now because we’re not allowed to be with them. They were talking about serious matters. It’s safer this way.

My husband pretends that I’m not his wife in front of the investors and business partners he met, he even introduced me as his secretary to hide my identity. He’s starting to turn cold again and I’m so damn sick of it.<
