Chapter 35. Weekend at the Xiu’s

Sushmita’s POV

We spent the whole day having a movie marathon because it’s Rodney’s rest day. It’s the only time I had with him because he will be flying to Italy tomorrow to do some mob work again.

“Honey, what do you want for dinner?” I asked Rodney.

“I don’t know, whatever Loreta cooks,” he simply said.

“I’ll cook for dinner,” I said to him.

“Then, whatever you want to cook,” he said.

“Alright, I’ll cook pork Sinigang, you want that?” I asked.

“Yay! Sinigang for dinner sounds great!” Daniel yelled while climbing on the stairs.

“Yeah sure,” Rodney said and immediately grabbed his laptop and turned it on.

“What’s that?” I asked.

“I have something to check,” he said.

“Alright, I’ll just go to the kitchen,” I said as I stood up because we were sitting on the sofa in our living room.

“I’ll accompany you there, later, just ask Loreta for help in the meantime,” he said but immediately uttered my name, “Sushmita?”
