Chapter 31. Kidnapped Again

Sushmita’s POV

I flew back to the Philippines with a heavy heart. I tried to comfort myself. I tried so hard to keep in mind that our marriage was just an agreement or some business proposal but I just can’t take it. The pain is so real, I don’t even know why I’m hurting. Is it because I assume too much that Rodney loves me?

How can I be so stupid? All that he did was just a lie. How can I forgive him now? I don’t know what to do anymore.

“Daniel, can we go somewhere?” I asked Daniel while we were having our dinner. It’s been a week now since we got home from Las Vegas.

“Where?” he asked.

“A resto bar maybe,” I suggested and he raised his eyebrows.

“Do you want us to get killed this time?” he asked me.

“No. That’s why you’re coming with me,” I said.

“What are you thinking?” he asked. It looks like he won’t really allow me to go.

“Daniel please, I can’t just be here all the time, this is suffocating, I have to go somewhere,” I sai
