Chapter 194. The Worst Betrayal

Issahil's POV

“You are what?” I blurted out when I finally found my tongue. This wasn't a surprise. No… This was a bomb.

My father heaved in a deep breath. “I know it’s a lot to take in, Issa. But we fell in love. It just happened.”

“It just happened?” I scoffed. Did he just seriously say that? What did he mean by it just happened?

My mind was racing, my thoughts a chaotic swirl. Was this perhaps some joke? I looked at my father, searching his expression for any sign that this was some elaborate joke, but his expression was deadly serious. 

Another scoff escaped my lips and I jerked up from my chair. Betrayal. Confusion. Anger. Disgust. These were the distinct emotions that played in my mind as I stared at my father. There was this ache in my heart too. 

“How could you father? How could you do this to me? She is my best friend, father!” I didn't understand why my father could do this to me. I really couldn't.
