Chapter 84. The Dangerous Ritual

Issahil's POV

Gradually, I drifted into a fitful sleep, with the memories of Erlind's laughter and the feel of his tiny hands clutching at my fingers lingering in my mind. 

When I woke up, I saw that the sun was beginning to set already and Alpha Matthias was not by my side anymore. 

How could I have slept so long? 

Kicking the duvet off my legs, I literally jumped out of the bed and raced out of the room.

“So, I have scouted every possible place I could think of but I have no lead. Not yet.” 

It was the unmistakable voice of the guardian wolf Caleb. 

I felt my heart sinking even more further within me as I processed his words, the last shard of hope I had been holding onto crashed within me.

“But, I do have a plan. It's a dangerous one though but so long as we do it right, it will work.”

Stepping into the living room, I approached the large, stone fireplace, where all the pack members we
