Chapter 83. Solace and Hope

Issahil's POV

I was unable to sleep a wink the entire night. Alpha Matthias accompanied me in silence all through the night.

He was sitting on the chair in the room while I was curled up in the bed, staring blankly into space.

I was no longer crying. There was no energy left in my body anymore. 

Stirring as the rays of the early morning sunlight half-kissed my face, I let out a soft sigh but it came out as a whimper.

“Issa.” Alpha  Matthias’ voice made my eyes snap up to find him moving to sit beside me on the bed.

I sat up on the bed but didn't say anything, my eyes were lowered to my hands on the bed.

“Go wash up and change your clothes. I will go get you something to eat. You haven't had anything to eat for days now.”

I shook my head in negation, stubbornly, my body tensing as I turned away and fixed my gaze on the half-parted windows across.

"I'm not hungry." My voice was barely above a whisper.
