Issahil's POV
I nodded. “Maybe but for a brief second she had me because deep down I have always had this longing to just be with my mother. I always wished I had never lost her when I was born.”
A soft sigh escaped my lips, and then I drew a sharp breath. “And seeing her like that, I was tempted. I knew it wasn't real…I knew she wasn't real…but still I was tempted and because of that, I almost died, you know...”
He reached out and pulled me into his embrace. “It isn't your fault that you long for your mother. I am just glad that you are back here with me. You have no idea how scared I was. Don't you ever leave me again, you hear me?”
I sniffled in his embrace. “I won't, I promise.” And I meant it.
A few minutes later, we were all gathered in the living room of my father's manor house.
“The emperor has great power here in the human territory so, we would have to tread with caution.”
