Chapter 9. A New Beginning

Issahil's POV

Williams Bradt was the nicest man I’d ever met. Compassionate and nice, he was in short a father figure to me. He had taken me in without delay after Tom had dropped me at his house that fateful day, months ago. Through my third trimester, he’d been there to walk the floor with me. Comforted me during my grumpy and frustrated days.

Even when I was due to have my Erlind, he’d been there. And he was still there, which was why I was able to have time to be a mother and a nursing student. He'd enrolled me in one after I had informed him of my interest in the medical field right after my experience in the hospital with medical practitioners. 

He was a successful lawyer and to my own advantage, he had no case today. He had agreed to watch Erlind for me while I went for lectures.

An unexpected bump sent my books scattered on the ground. Groaning in annoyance, I bent to pick them up.
