Nervously, I fidgeted my fingers in my lap while watching Levi closely, his eyes searching mine as though he was looking for something, and suddenly he frowned and murmured, "Fine, I won't drop you home if that's what you want."
Why do I suddenly feel guilty again like I have done something wrong to him, even though all that I have said is tell him what I wanted?
Now I found myself guessing if I should have made it clear to him that Liam and I are brother and sister.
But then again, he never asked me the next day when I came to work and never said anything about what Liam said to him that evening, so I thought it was not worth discussing. After all, he's just my boss.
