Chapter 9
"Good morning, sir," I said, staring at Levi as I rested a cup of hot coffee on his desk with a smile.
His gaze raised from his computer screen to me, and he gave a small nod before going back to work, seemingly forgetting about me.
After one month with him, I could say that I was proud of the growth that I had had since my disastrous first day working here.
I had finally managed to stop being so nervous around him and was able to speak properly in front of him… I think… and since the first day he dropped me home, Levi had been doing it for the last one month.
It feels weird to have my boss as my driver, but I have been too scared to tell Levi that it would be better if he was not driving me every day or at all.
"You have a meeting at nine o'clock to evaluate Mr. Lawrence's performance on the project, sir," I said, watching him take a sip of the black coffee, his eyes never leaving mine.
"That's today?" Levi asked, raising an eyebrow while looking
