“I never knew you’d want to see me again.” The man I’d been waiting for finally made an appearance after I’d sat idly, nursing a bottle of beer in this local bar far away from the upscale life and activities.

“It’s been a long time, Derek.”

The man I used to know but never associated with. Even in high school, he had always been a truant and a rebellious person. With his love for trouble and everything illegal, I stayed away. Percy, my late twin brother, had been the one he was close to.

“Yes. Imagine my surprise when the Almighty CEO of Astra-Z called. Never even knew you had my number.” He removed his sunglasses and placed them on the table.

“I didn’t,” I told him.

“How did you get my number then?”
