Chapter 34

Brenda’s Pov:

I walked back home feeling very fulfilled after talking to Mady. I had been skeptical about going to her house but I really needed to talk to her.

I could not forget the sadness on Mo’s face when he spoke about her. Even though she acted she did not care, I knew my words got her.

I walked past Dominick’s room and on a second thought, decided to check on him.

He was seated on a stool with a large paper on the table in front of him, writing some things with an ink.

“I see you are working. I should not disturb you,” I said and made to walk out when he grabbed my waist and made me sit on his lap.

“What do you think you are doing, walking in here looking so pretty, distracting me and going out the very next minute?” he asked huskily into my ear.

“You are working. I don’t want to disturb you,” I said.

“It does not matter.”

“So what are you doing?” I asked, looking at the drawing on the paper.

“I am setting a map,”
