Chapter 14. A Golden Meal (1)

He stepped his foot outside of the cave, and the night breeze greeted him. He smiled.

The holy guard immediately cast a golden bridge towards the falls. The falls are far from his cave, and they are also far from the Daffodil area. But the falls are a perfect route for him to escape. Because it means that he is super close to the gap between the barriers. And the barrier would be much thinner than in the Daffodil Area.

But when he reached the falls, his forehead creased at the sudden sight. The falls are red.

Why is it red?

"What happened to the water?" He then asked his holy guard, who was following him, and the guard answered him plainly.

"The cheif decided to cleanse the souls of the dead before they are sent to the heavens, your highness.“

"Souls? What do you mean?"

"Your cousin, his grace, your highness,“ he said, feeling worried.

“What do you mean by it? Did something happen to him?“ he asked the guard. The guard shook his head.<
