Chapter 10. Good News!
Lucas’s POV
I lay in my hospital bed, the beeping machines reminding me of my situation. It had been a week and some days now and I was already fully recovered.
Although I overheard some nursing saying I was going to be transferred to a rehabilitation center which was odd because I never told anyone I was into drugs.
Shit! I had just forgotten that this was a hospital, and there was no way they wouldn’t find out.
But still, I didn’t need no help. and I was perfectly fine and I needed to get the hell away from here. Today, I would play the part of the remorseful patient. that way I can manipulate them, making them see that I was okay.
The door creaked open, and Emily, one of the nurses, walked in with her clipboard. She was kind and had a soft spot for the lost causes. Perfect.
“Good morning, Lucas,” she said, her smile warm. “How are you feeling today?” she asked, maintaining her smile.
