The voice on the other end was low and smooth, sending a chill down my spine. “Shimma, it’s Lucas.”

I froze, gripping my phone tighter. “Lu-Lucas, how are you?” I asked, my breath dropping slowly.

“I’m good. How about you and Matt?” he asked.

“We are good too. Wh-What do you want?” I managed to ask, my heart racing.
