The Big Day

The moment was finally here. I took a deep breath, my heart thrumming wildly as I stood behind the grand doors, waiting for my cue.

The soft strains of music floated in the air, each note wrapping around me like a comforting embrace. I loved that they played my favorite song, the one I had always envisioned for my wedding. This was it!

The doors swung open, revealing the breathtaking hall. Gasps filled the air as I stepped into the light, my gaze immediately locking onto Mattias. He stood at the altar, looking dashing in his tailored suit, his eyes glistening with tears of joy. As I walked down the aisle, I realized this was exactly how I had imagined it. Dreams do come true. Oh, God!

“You’re so beautiful,” Mattias whispered, his words sending butterflies fluttering in my stomach. I felt an intense tingling sensation as tears welled in my eyes.

But in that moment of joy, my thoughts drifted to my late father.
