Shimma’s POV
Three Years Later
“Noah! Nora! Your dad is back!” I called to my three-year-olds, who were running around the compound as Mattias pulled into the parking lot.
“Yay!!! Daddy!” they both yelled in unison, rushing toward the parking lot where Mattias parked his white Mercedes G-Wagon.
Mattias hurriedly stepped out, his eyes filled with excitement as he squatted down to welcome Noah and Nora.
“Guess what Daddy got for both of you?” Mattias said playfully.
“A real-life unicorn?!” Nora was quick to ask.
“A real-life dinosaur?!” Noah added. I laughed, shaking my head as I approached them. I had two delusional kids, and I knew just who they took after—me! I know, right?
Mattias stood up, hugging me and kissing me on the neck.
“I missed you so much,” he said, hugging me even more tightly.
“I missed you too, honey,” I responded, getting lost in his embrace as Nora and Noah tugged at both of us.
