Chapter 10. Friends with Benefits
Aleah grimaced and shuddered in horror after hearing Samuel’s words. On the one hand, she grimaced in pain because of her menstrual syndrome, but on the other hand, she shuddered in horror because she felt strange about Samuel’s words that suddenly asked her to marry him.
“You give me the creeps, Sam. This is the first time I’ve met someone who proposed to a woman when the woman was anxious because of menstrual syndrome,” said Aleah, who shuddered for the umpteenth time, accompanied by a small chuckle so as not to offend Samuel.
And Samuel wasn’t offended at all, although Aleah chuckled after hearing his serious proposal. On the other hand, Samuel was heard chuckling in amusement and slowly raised his head to look at Aleah’s face and then moved his hand to wipe away the remaining tears from her eyes.
