Chapter 13. Spend the Night

Aleah sat awkwardly in front of Samuel’s mother. It was annoying for Aleah because it turned out that Samuel kept his promise. Today, he brought Aleah to meet Emily, his mother.

“Who is this beautiful lady, Sam? Is she your girlfriend?” Emily asked breaking the awkwardness between them.

Meanwhile, Samuel was seen smiling, then excitedly introduced Aleah to his mother. “This is Aleah, Mama. She is very beautiful, but unfortunately, she asked me not to introduce her as my girlfriend because she can’t love me yet, so I will just introduce her as a friend,” said Samuel lightly. He didn’t even realize that Aleah had been giving him a protesting look.

“Oh my God,” said Emily with a small chuckle. A sweet smile appeared on Emily’s beautiful face.

Then, Emily slowly reached out her hand, took Aleah’s hand, and held it gently. “You must be having a hard time dealing with my son who likes you, right? This is the first time Sam has brought a beautiful woman to meet me,
