Chapter 65. Bedtime Stories

At dinnertime, Aleah and Rafael came out of their room and joined Wendy and Lucas at the table. Wendy was quietly enjoying her meal while Lucas was not, for a few moments Lucas glanced at the reddish mark on Aleah’s neck, and then glared in disgust.

Even today, Lucas is still not used to Aleah being his daughter-in-law. In particular, he could never get used to seeing the mark that was proof of Rafael and Aleah’s intimacy… and her pregnancy.

“Are you resting comfortably, Rafael?” asked Lucas, breaking the silence between them.

“Yes, I rest quite comfortably. Even though I’ve always slept in nice hotels while working, the most comfortable place to be is home… especially my wife and children,” Rafael replied as he cut a steak for Aleah.

Lucas nodded in understanding. “It’s good that you’re resting comfortably. You can stay here for a long time if you want, after all, there’s nothing wrong with living in your parents’ house. The house is quite large and there ar
