Chapter 80
All of us get in our cars, and we set off, driving back the same way. Closing my eyes, I keep trying to relax. It is all over now. Jake is locked up and hopefully won’t be getting out.
“Five minutes, and we are home.” Jackson's voice is quiet as I feel myself drift into sleep.
Waking up, I am in my bed, with the sun shining through the window. My throat hurts. My head also hurts. I sit up and look around. The house is quiet. Walking into the shower, I turn it on. Standing there, the water washes me, washing last night away. If only it was that easy to wash away the memories from my mind. They are what is plaguing me.
Another thing to add to the list at the counsellor. My counsellor is nice. She has been through something similar to me. She helps a lot. We speak about Max, Jake, Jackson, and my family, everything. So it will be an exciting session when I go this week. Getting dry, I look in the mirror. Thick bruises cover my neck, my hand instantly stroking
