Chapter 81
It is like there are no chains around me, nothing holding me down, yet I feel like I am drowning. I need to keep fighting to breathe because if I don’t, I will drown. Everyone starts coming in. I am glad it takes my mind off things, but I know I will need to deal with them and talk about it at some point.
“Hey Alena, everything okay?” Sammy-Jo stands at my door.
“Yes, thank you. Let’s get sorted. The classes today are fully booked.” I get up, walking with her, sorting everything out. Customers begin to arrive and sign in. I welcome them and show them to the rooms where the class is they have signed up for.
Walking around and watching it is amazing. There are women lacking confidence, shy and hidden, coming out of their shells, having fun and laughing. It makes me smile. Some of these women would be hidden away at home, hiding from their demons and trying to pretend everything is fine while refusing to socialise. I just hope it truly helps them.
