Marcus throws his jacket at me. I put it on, trying to make myself look presentable.

“Most people are gone. I didn’t see him when I came in. The police are on their way as well.” He is still holding Jake by the throat, clearly not tight enough to hurt him. Jake doesn’t even seem to fight him off. It is like he has admitted he can’t escape this time.
