When Anya and her companions arrived, he noticed that Jim and Elieth were throwing glances at each other. But he didn’t give all that a second thought. He didn’t want to be suspicious. He had never thought of something like such. Not even in his wildest dreams.
“I like your confidence, nephew,” he bit back. “Maybe that poor little witch liked that too. That’s why she stuck with you. Maybe she felt sorry for you because she saw how clueless you were to date someone like her.”
He threw his head back, clapping his hands, and laughed while bile rose in Alex’s throat.
“She was lucky. Very lucky. I gave her the simplest death ever. You should be grateful I didn’t punish her. I like women, you know. Or would you have preferred cutting her into tiny pieces?” He murmured.
“Fuck. You.”
The old man slapped him, and his head hit the back of the table hard.
“You have a spine, nephew. Good to know.” Mitchell let out a sigh.
“You are a coward,” Alex barked
