Chapter 6
Mary turned to slant him a glance while he was walking away, even though she couldn’t see his face. She inwardly sighed. She had met notoriously good-looking men, but this one was heart-poundingly sexy.
His body—which she had found herself thinking about frequently over the past few days since she first saw him at the bar—was sublime.
He stood a good bit over six feet tall, and though the entrance was wide enough for two normal-size people to pass, his broad shoulders and big, rangy-built body filled the space.
“How can one man be this attractive?” she asked herself.
His eyes, however, were what made him so unique. They were the color of rich, warm amber, and yet there was a kind of sinister light to them, which she liked. He was the most intriguing and handsome man she’d ever come across, she thought.
“From the look of things, you’re into this gentleman.” snapped her coworker, who’d been examining her since the man left.
