Clary could feel her heart flutter as she spotted Ace in the car. She glanced at Levi who had a look of worry mixed with fear on his face. “That’s Ace, isn’t it?” She asked him but he did not verbally reply to her, he only nodded weakly. 

“Crap, crap, crap,” Levi mumbled under his breath as he honked the horn of the car. He knew that Ace was not going to move, the alpha was way too stubborn for that, but he at least had to try. 

“Can we just talk with him?” Clary suggested as she adjusted herself in her seat. 

Levi scoffed and then shook his head. “You want me to talk to the guy that punched me during the Royal Ball just because I asked him for you to sit with me?” 

Clary gave him a look and then replied, “Come on now, I heard what you said to him.”
