Chapter 26

It was night and Clary was sitting in the living room alone, her thoughts racing in her head. She was scared for her life and could not stop thinking about what Selena had told her; to either choose life or death. 

It made her stomach turn and her heart thump. She had no idea how to get Ace to reject her. At first, she was not too keen on getting the alpha to reject her but now it was much different, it directly involved her life. 

So she was going over every scenario in her head of how she would get Ace to reject her. She knew how stubborn he was, so it made it even harder. But if no one could get him to change his mind about her, maybe it was her. 

Selena was not home, she had gone out to an emergency meeting concerning the pack. Ace was supposed to go but he was adamant about staying home and resting his mind, so his wife had to go there and represent him. 

Mr. Clark was not at the mansion too, he was at home with his wife. So that left Clary
