Chapter 25

Clary allowed Ace to hold her hand. The moment their skin touched each other, it was like electricity. She felt her heart flutter as butterflies danced in her stomach. She could not help but smile. 

“Are you okay?” She asked him. 

Ace adjusted himself and sat on the bed as he kept holding Clary’s hand. He blinked a couple of times to make sure that he was not dreaming. He could not believe that she was back. “Yeah, yeah. Especially now that you’re here with me,” He said in a breathy way as he maintained eye contact with her. 

Selena felt like throwing up and she really wanted to say something; to stop whatever nonsense Ace was doing with Clary, but Mr. Clark must have noticed it because he gave her a small tap on her shoulder, so she kept quiet. 

Clary felt her cheeks warm up. She tried to break eye contact with Ace but it was hard. Her chest was filled with a warm and fuzzy feeling that she enjoyed. She cleared her throat gently and then finally
