Chapter 28

I try to get the horse under control and as I do so, I hear Zayn say to Bunny from behind me, “I swear if they throw another rock at her, I will make them regret it.” 

“You are not going to do crap. Might I remind you? You’re in Werewolf Territory, this is not your city,” Bunny advises him. 

“Does it look like I freaking care?” Zayn’s voice is a bit loud, causing all the Betas to look in his direction, including me.

“Silence!” One of the Betas says loudly. “And that goes for you all too!” He refers to the crowd.

“The next person that would throw a rock would join the convoy so they can answer for their actions to the Lycan!” The other Beta adds. He is the one that I know from school.

The rest of the trip to where we are led by the Betas is rather quiet and peaceful. No more slurs or insults from crowds, or stones being thrown by anyone. Only stares of disgust and unbelief.
