Chapter 29

Zayn marches me right out of the room and through the hallway. I want to tell him to slow down but the tight frown on his face keeps my mouth shut. His hand is wrapped around mine, but not in a romantic way; maybe in a protective or scolding way, but definitely not romantic.

As soon as we make a turn, we meet Ashton talking to one of the staff. His eyes widen in surprise when he sees us. “What the hell? What are you guys doing here?” 

I guess his father didn’t tell him about the meeting we just had. I don’t think I should even call that a meeting; a trap to strongarm us seems more suitable.

“Can I know where my friends are?” Zayn ignores Ashton and asks the staff. 

“Right this way, I will show you to their rooms,” The young lady wearing the same uniform as the middle-aged lady that we met before says. Zayn looks at me, silently asking me if I’m coming along with him, but I wag my head slowly.

“Go ahead, I will meet up with you and the others later,”
