Chapter 31
“Our love?” I question him. “Are you being serious right now, Ashton?”
“This is the most serious I have ever been in my life,” He reaches for my hand from across the table but I flinch away. He does not get to do this, it isn’t fair.
“You don’t get to do this,” I chuckle dryly. “Can you even hear yourself?” I run my hand through my hair.
“Get to do what? I’m just being honest, Lara. We were made to be together, the moon goddess doesn’t make mistakes.” His stare at me is starting to feel uncomfortable. “I want to be with you,” He adds bravely, and I scoff.
“You know what? F*ck you, Ashton.” I snap, and he seems taken aback, if not offended. A few of the other people eating here all look our way and I am reminded mentally that I’m talking to the Alpha of the Blue River pack.
