Chapter 134

I reached for Liam’s hand and led him a few feet away from the kids before letting him go. The sun was up but cold air still filled the atmosphere. He had a hard expression on his face and pain swirled in his eyes. “Liam, you can not do that.” 

He chuckled. “Yeah. Yeah, I can.” 

“I mean, this is not the way out. Yeah, you’re pissed at your dad for lying to you but it was not like he didn’t love your mom and purposely killed her in that accident,” I explained to him, and a look of vulnerability crossed his face for a second before disappearing. 

“It’s because of him she’s dead, Lara.” His voice broke. “If he was not jealous over her secretary which was all for nothing, I would still have my mom with me. And he was jealous all for nothing. For absolutely nothing.” His eyes were now glossy. 

“I know. I know.” I tried to touch him in an attempt of comforting him but he pulled away. “Liam, trust me, you do not want to report your dad to the police. He
