Chapter 58
The next time that she opened her eyes, she was somewhere that she did not recognize. A very heavy headache wrapped around her head and her mouth tasted very bitter.
She groaned lowly and reached for the place on her body that was causing her the most pain: her neck. As she rubbed her hand over the side of her neck, she tried looking around to see if she could recognize where she was but that was no luck.
Clary did not know where she was. Her mouth was dry and she was very thirsty. She realized that she was in a room, one that was not very big. It was an old room, it smelled moldy.
It must have been in the day because natural light flooded the room from the old and tired windows. The windows had steel rods instead of glass, almost giving the appearance of how a prison bar would look.
Dust floated in the air slowly and the floor was made of wood that was rotting.
