Chapter 68

Clary breathed out a sigh and ran her hand through her hair. “Yeah, I think I told you that, right?” 

Lola nodded. “Yeah, you did, but I forgot,” She said smoothly and then headed towards the living room, gesturing for Clary to follow her. 

Clary did not want to, she just wanted to go to her room and try to sleep but she did not want to make Lola upset, especially now that she was finally being nice. “Yeah,” She said in a small voice. 

They finally reached the living room and Clary allowed Lola to sit down first before sitting on the couch opposite her. 

The reason why Clary was a bit taken aback or worried when Lola mentioned her being pregnant was that she instinctively felt like Lola knew about the abortion and was referring to the other baby. 

But it was now clear in Clary’s mind and her troubled nerves were calm now. 

When Clary sat on the couch, she began, “Uh…I’m not carrying the child again.”
