Chapter 76

Clary could not help but laugh freely when she heard what Levi had just said. She hated that he was being so nice because, with each kind gesture, she was falling even harder for him. “In the dark? We won’t be able to see,” She told him, giggling slightly. 

“Oh, really?” He asked in a soft voice as he got closer to her. Werewolves had great eyesight but the Alpha’s sight was even better and impressive. He knew that Clary could see him clearly, even if it was not as clear as he could see her. 

Clary’s heart thumped in her chest. She did not particularly trust the idea of being in a dimly lit room with Levi. She knew very well that her emotions could not be trusted. “Okay, I may be able to see a bit, but still…” 

“Come on, Clary, don’t be a downer. Dance with me,” Levi said when he had closed the distance between him and the omega. He reached for her hips and gently placed his hands on them, swaying to the slow beat of the song playing in the room.
