“I knew that there was something about you but I could not put my hand on it. You look just like her,” The waiter said, and he smiled sadly. “Of course, you’re Sarah’s daughter.”

“Okay, but why do I need to talk with the manager? Is my mom alright?”

“What’s your name, dear?”

Clary gulped and replied, “Clary.”

“Okay, Clary, I don’t want to worry you but if this is concerning Sarah who happens to be your mom, I would strongly suggest that you talk with our manager. He would give you all the answers you need.” He flashed her a smile.

Clary nodded and breathed out a worried sigh as she stood to her feet. She followed the waiter to the cashier’s area and led her behind the counter. He then knocked on a door that was there and waited a few seconds.
