Chapter 79

Levi looked up from his computer. He was on a call with a human who wanted to start a company in the town. He was telling the guy that even though the pack was okay with humans, it was still very risky. 

“Let me call you back, Josh, okay?” He told the human guy on the phone and ended the call.

“You didn’t have to do that, you know?” 

“Do what?” Levi asked as he closed his laptop and placed it in the empty space next to him. 

“You did not have to drop your call,” Clary clarified as she walked to the couch and sat. She did not sit on the same couch as Levi though, but opposite of him. 

“Oh, but I wanted to,” Levi replied as he folded his arms on his chest. “Do you need my help with something?” 

Clary crossed her legs and answered, “Why do you ask that?” 

“Um…you kicked me out of your room because you thought that I was trying to control you. And now you’re in here.” He shrugged lightly, maintaining eye contact with the o
