Clary stood to her feet and yawned. She was feeling a bit faint and it might have probably been because she was hungry and needed food. But she knew that she had to do a few things first before eating.
She went to the door, locked it, and then headed for the bathroom. Removing her nightgown, she noticed in the mirror that there was a mark on her right shoulder. She squinted her eyes as she took a closer look.
At first, she thought that it was maybe one of the many marks or scars that she had gotten from the preacher beating on her, but with a closer look, she saw that the mark was detailed well; almost like a drawing or tattoo.
It looked more like a tattoo. The mark was shaped like a crescent moon. It was not big and had little writing in it that Clary could barely read.
