Chapter 87. Evening Practice

Kendrick's POV

I noticed when Hope headed to the edge of the forest, but it took a while before Erick finally released me. The moment I got close I could observe her back and her aura.

It is different from what I expected, when I told her that her parents had died, for a moment Hope despaired, then everything calmed down and now I can realize it more clearly.

Her aura is peaceful, even complacent, it's not an explosive or unstable aura, I always noticed that even though Hope was very strong, her aura was always unstable. Now it has simply changed.

I don't know if I like that or not. I know she has to grow up, but I feel something is missing in her, something that makes her unique, at the same time I am glad she is controlling herself.

I slowly approached and stood watching her, so immersed in thought that she didn't even feel my presence, I just waited until she noticed me and the moment she turned around I asked if she was okay.
