Chapter 17. A Challenge

Snow’s POV

Once I get into Stefan’s room, he wraps his arms around me and hugs me close to him. “God, I was so worried. Are you hurt?” He asks impatiently as he scans my body for bruises.

“I’m fine, Stefan. He didn’t hurt me,” I assure him as I place my hands on his shoulder. I have no idea how Stefan and I are going to get out of this mess we’re in. Kol said we have tonight to say our goodbyes to each other, and we need to come up with a plan. A lot of thoughts force their way into my head as I contemplate, and I realize the only way to escape from this situation is if Stefan and I run away together. But I can’t ask that of him. This is his family.

“What are we going to do, Stef? Kol said we have just tonight to say our goodbyes. I’m really scared. I don’t want to be his Luna. I don’t want to be his mate,” I say weakly as tears try to escape from my eyes.
