Chapter 20. Deal with a Witch

Katherine’s POV

I don’t like this new girl Stefan brought to the castle. Everything was perfect between Kol and me before she showed up. I still find it hard to believe that she’s the Alpha’s mate. It’s just not possible. Besides, she’s from the East. Tradition and werewolf nature made it so that mates can only be from the same pack.

This mate bond between her and Kol must be a mistake. It has to be, and I’m sure of it. I have never been so sure of anything in my entire life because I am the one who killed Kol’s mate.

That’s right. I am the reason Kol hasn’t been able to find his mate all this time because there was no mate to be found in the first place. I wanted Kol for myself, so I took some predispositions to make sure that he would never find his mate.

I have a friend who is a witch, and she lives deep in the forests on the outskirts of the
