Aramis squeezed my hand again and his expression softened. "No, she doesn't have to be sorry. I want to apologize again. What I said to you was anything but okay. I'm so damn sorry."

Only then did I remember that I had actually been angry. The plan with Enno had distracted me. Maybe it was the kiss that had calmed my mood. Or the fact that we were now sitting in a restaurant. Maybe that was part of the apology. It was a nice experience, after all we were finally out among people.

I stayed honest when I said, "I forgot I was mad at you." A smile found its way onto his lips that would make me fall over if I were standing. "Then I'm a distraction for you?"
