Chapter 140
Audrey
I've settled in with Grandma. In the mornings, I wake her up and we have breakfast together before I drive her to one of her therapies or one of her voluntary activities. After we're out of the house and I've dropped her off, I drive to school.
She usually cooks dinner and does most of the housework, which she can manage without help, and when I get home from school, I do what she can't do.
Today is Saturday and therefore market day. Every Saturday we do our shopping for the coming week, at least what the garden doesn't produce or what is still growing.
Last weekend I was able to spend the whole of Saturday harvesting bushes and trees and then harvesting the rest. Some of it is pickled, others are boiled or processed straight away. Some of it is frozen for the winter, but Grandma doesn't make everything herself anymore. She used to bake bread, but she doesn't do that anymore because it wasn't worth it for one person for a while.
