I got up from my chair and didn't say another word to him. I turned away and made my way to the door.
Just as I opened it, he said, "By the way, we'll share a bedroom once we're married, like real married couples do. Until then, you can stay with Tiana."
Even though my heart stopped for a moment, I flung the door open. He hadn't won the argument yet because he could forget about it. I just postponed the argument until another day. It's best if his sister was there, as she at least had my back.
So I stepped out into the hallway and was dismissed for the day.
Yesterday I went to my room. My bed had screamed for me, as had I screamed into the pillow, muffling the noise. Although that was unnecessary, because supernatural beings lived in soundproof rooms, otherwise you would have absolutely no privacy given your good hearing.
