Aramis quickly snapped me out of my thoughts when he said, "We are a peaceful people. Then why would someone from my kingdom murder the royal couple?" I stayed focused on the well and replied, "It doesn't seem to be that peaceful after all. There is a traitor among your people."

Now I turned to him, maybe he would believe me more. No matter how coldly those eyes fixed me, I maintained eye contact. "The werewolves only tried to defeat you on the battlefield. Otherwise, we never got close enough to you. So, has anyone ever attempted another murder?" He always had his facial expressions under control, but for a moment you could see it.

There had been at least one, maybe several. Of course, this was immediately blamed on the enemy.

I raised an eyebrow and said, "That should be a yes. If they want to kill you, then Tiana should be included. That should be enough incentive for you to find the real perpetrator."

Without another word, he
